Milliner Catharina Carlsson has her studio in Holmsund, near Umeå, Northern Sweden. There she uses both traditional and experimental methods, such as laser cutting, to handcraft hats both for the stage and for everyday life. She has at her disposal one of the largest hat block collections in Sweden – blocks that have been used by several generations of milliners. Catharina has also succesfully participated in a number of international hat competitions. ”When the world is your stage, a hat is by far the best accessory.”
